MYFC's 3G Pitch:
Rules & Vistor Information
St John's Marlborough 3G - Footwear Rules
- Moulded plastic studs only.
- Trainers are not permitted.
- Astro boots (with dimpled soles) are not permitted.
- Blades are not permitted.
- Boots with metal studs are not permitted.
- All boots must be clean of mud and grass.

Footwear Checks
The Club and the School, as venue owner, will conduct regular boot checks at training sessions and matches to enforce these rules.
The strict footwear rules are for player safety and to protect the synthetic surface of this brand new pitch, which cost £1.2 million to build. We need to look after all of our players and this fantastic new facility.
If you're not sure, please do get in touch!

The boots below are fine!
**IMPORTANT**
These footwear rules apply to all players, coaches, referees, and assistant referees.
Basically, anyone who is going onto the pitch itself.

Vehicle Access
- The only vehicle access is via Granham Hill (Pewsey Road – A345).
- (See orange arrows on the Site Plan on this page)
- Follow postcode SN8 4AX.
- There is no parking or vehicle access via Orchard Road.
- On weeknights, the main entrance gate to the car park will only be open until 21:00.
- When leaving, and if the gate is closed, drivers need to approach the gate slowly.
- Keep to the left and stop where indicated by the road markings.
This will trigger a sensor in the road, and the gate will then open automatically.
Parking
- Please only park in marked bays and do not block any access to the buildings or access routes in case of an emergency.
- Be considerate to other car park users and abide by the speed limit.
Disabled Access
- The route from the car park to the pitch entrance involves stairs.
- There is a step-free route from an accessible parking area.
For anyone who has limited mobility and/or is in a wheelchair
- Please get in touch with the Club in advance of your visit.
- We will provide you with the necessary instructions.
- And notify the School's staff in advance.
- Email: enquiries@myfc.club
- And/or leave a WhatsApp message: 07457 417882
Other Venue Rules
Everyone entering the pitch itself (players, coaches, referees and assistant referees) must comply with the following:
- Footwear rules (they will be strictly enforced).
- No dogs are allowed anywhere on the school grounds.
- No smoking is permitted anywhere on the school grounds.
- Any chewing gum must be discarded in the bins provided.
- The tarmac goal storage areas at either end of the pitch are slippery in studs, especially when wet.
- All players and coaches must take extra care if they need to enter those areas (e.g. to retrieve footballs).

Ethos and Matchday Environment
- MYFC is passionate about creating a supportive environment for all children to develop and enjoy the game.
- We always ask all coaches, linesmen and supporters to respect and support the referees.
- Especially when many are young, under-18 referees or kind volunteers.
- We encourage supporters to applaud both teams, and NO VERBAL ABUSE will be tolerated.
MYFC has an enviable record of hosting enjoyable games with great atmospheres regardless of results.
We welcome you in this environment.
Thank you very much for your cooperation
Marlborough Youth FC.
