MYFC Association with Marlborough Town FC
Initial Club Association (2023)
The association between MYFC and MTFC commenced in 2023, initially comprising a joint home (clubhouse, storage, and postal address) and creating clear male, female, and coaching pathways from youth to adult football, with shared values and environment.
MTFC Overview
- Founded in 1871.
- The first team competes in the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League Division One.
- The development team competes in the Swindon & District League.
- The Ladies team competes in the Wiltshire Senior League Ladies Development Division.
Shared Home and Community Focus
- In recent years, MYFC and MTFC have worked hard to form such an association, with both clubs now proudly sharing Elcot Lane as their home.
- Together, the two clubs support a shared commitment to “Football For All” and inclusive community sport in Marlborough.

FA Club Agreement (2026)
In 2026, the initial agreement graduated to a formalised FA Club Agreement. This has extended the association to:
- Formal Partnership Agreement: Clear expectations, shared standards, and a documented commitment that supports long‑term planning.
- Shared Resources and Expertise: Access to still more coaches, facilities, knowledge, and good practice, improving player pathways and reducing duplicated costs.
- Regular Joint Club Meetings With Records: Better communication, decision‑making, and a shared forum to review progress and resolve issues quickly, strengthening the relationship.
Coaching Pathways
- The FA Club agreement also creates opportunities for MYFC coaches to gain experience in the adult game, supporting their long‑term involvement in local football.
