A visit by an England Lionness:
Hannah Hampton!

Anchor 1

(January 2026)

MYFC were delighted to welcome England Lionesses goalkeeper Hannah Hampton for a surprise visit to one of our recent Friday night training sessions on the new all-weather pitch in Marlborough.

Hannah spent the evening meeting players from across the club, with a particular focus on our girls’ teams. Young players had the opportunity to chat with one of England’s top goalkeepers, take photos and hear first-hand what it takes to perform at the highest level of the game.

A highlight of the visit was a special goalkeeping session for our goalkeepers from all MYFC girls’ teams, from U8 right through to U16. The session gave aspiring keepers a chance to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired by a fantastic role model.

Hannah loved spending time with the players and coaches from MYFC. She observed just how much the children enjoy their football and how MYFC showcased grassroots football at its best. She also loved seeing so many dedicated goalkeepers!

Stuart Slater, Chairman of MYFC, added,

“We’re incredibly proud to host a player of Hannah’s calibre at our club. Her visit reflects our commitment to developing girls’ football and giving every player the best possible opportunities.”

MYFC would like to thank Hannah for an unforgettable evening that will live long in the memory of our players and coaches alike.
